Research Librarians – What We Do

Research librarians partner with academic departments to support teaching, learning, and scholarship at Salisbury University. They provide tailored research instruction for courses; offer one-on-one consultations for students working on assignments, theses, or internships; and collaborate with faculty on research needs. Librarians also select books, tools, and other resources to strengthen departmental collections.

Each department is assigned a librarian liaison — a library faculty member who serves as the primary contact between SU Libraries and the academic unit. In alignment with the Libraries’ mission, liaisons ensure a program’s information needs are met through instruction, research assistance, collection development, and other services that advance teaching and scholarship.

Research Appointments for Students & Faculty

Students and faculty are invited to meet with a research librarian for help with all things research. Need help developing a topic? Want to find the best sources or need help with citations? Have a big research presentation coming up and need advice? We are here to help you succeed!
